Crystals
Crystals begin to grow when the right amounts of their constituent atoms are present, usually
in the form of a liquid or gas, but sometimes as a solid, in conditions that allow the atoms to
move into those patterns where they are in the best possible state of equilibrium with each
other. Heat and pressure ensure that the atoms have the maximum movement and energy
to locate these positions before conditions change.

Once the basic pattern has been taken up by a few atoms, called the ‘unit cell’ of a crystal, other atoms
quickly repeat the arrangement and build up the crystal lattice, the characteristic pattern of atoms unique to
each mineral. A crystal will continue to grow in this way until the exterior conditions alter or the available raw material of atoms is used up.

Once formed, crystals are the most stable and organized forms of matter in the universe.
Their ‘ideal’ structure means that they often display unique qualities that make them both useful and
attractive. A crystal’s physical form is the expression of its interior atomic arrangement. Crystals of any given mineral always display the same relationship of symmetrical faces, and each face will meet in flat planes at the same angel. Due to different growing circumstances no two crystals will be identical, but they will all show these
characteristic features.

Crystals have been recorded in most ancient texts and were used in Egyptian times for adornment, protection and healing. But even more significantly they were used tens of thousands of years ago by the Atlanteans and Lemurians who were a civilization far beyond the technology we could possibly ever imagine.

In their healing centres, skilled practitioners used crystals, pyramids, sound, colours and their minds to stimulate the patient’s own healing process and provide relief from dis-ease.

It is said that numerous souls who were healers in Atlantis have returned to the Earth, and many of them are skillful practitioners, successfully utilizing techniques from prior lifetimes involving crystals. It has also been documented that Reiki energy was used in Atlantean times.

The healers of Atlantis and Lemuria understood the importance of the placement of crystals on the chakras to heal imbalances on the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual levels. Holographically encoded quasi-crystals which receive psycho-electrical programming are referred to as recorder crystals (or Record Keepers).
When properly encoded with intense concentration and meditation, recorder crystals assume their own personality and are very powerful, especially for healing.

New crystals are frequently appearing on the Earth; in particular Lemurian Seed crystals. Apparently they were found in Brazil, at the top of a hill that was being strip-mined for quartz. These naturally formed generators were found separately in sand and were not attached to clusters. These unique crystals are clear quartz but instead of shiny, they appear frosted or dull, like they have a mat finish. Their most unique characteristic is a series of horizontal striations that run up one or more of the sides of the crystal. Generally these distinct horizontal striations end in a triangular face forming at the apex of the crystal.

It is said that the ancient Atlanteans had programmed the Record Keeper crystals before the fall of that great civilization in order to record and safeguard their knowledge. However, the Lemurian Seed Crystals are different in that they are not programmed with specific information as the Atlantean Record Keepers. It appears that they were placed in the rich earth where crystalline growth was expected to form in the coming millennia and programmed to transmit frequencies to other crystals that were being created throughout time.

A big part of what they relay is the sense of oneness, of unity, of every individual part equal and no better than any other part, and the necessity for love in order to evolve. It only requires one Lemurian Seed Crystal to holographically connect to all of the seed crystals, and this energetic connection forms an energy grid around the earth which links us to inner and outer worlds.

Quartz crystals are formed as silicon cools after it is ejected from the centre of the Earth. They were abundant in Mu (Lemuria) and Atlantis, where the first soil was formed from the lava and rocks of erupting volcanoes, or from materials spurted from rifts in the ocean floor where tectonic plates separated.

Crystals have the ability to move and transform energy. Just as crystals are used in radios, televisions, and computers to contain the flow of electric energy, so they are capable of assisting the human body. Each of our cells has a small electrical charge that makes us a moving mass of energy, connected to and interacting with the energy that surrounds us. What we think and feel is transmitted along our vast electrical network of nerve cells. Imbalance in the vibrations from the cells of our bodies can lead to dis-ease or illness. Quartz crystals can be very helpful in healing since they assist in improving communication between the cells. When Clear Quartz is placed on the body, the blockages which are the result of dis-ease and depression diminish, the natural flow of energy improves, and the immune system grows stronger.

The Quartz family, such as Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Citrine, and Smoky Quartz, are very powerful yet affordable, and available almost anywhere, and can be used for just about any imbalances in the body.

Rose Quartz works best on the heart, as it is the ‘stone of love’. It is also most effective in treatment for emotional instability, rather than for physical problems. The energy of Rose Quartz brings on feelings of tranquility, inner peace, and harmonic balance.

Smoky Quartz crystals help us to recall blocked memories of unpleasant events. They assist in ejecting the negative vibrations of these disagreeable experiences from our minds and bodies and create a space inside
so we may heal ourselves. Smoky Quartz are also effective in treating depression and other mild cases of
‘the blues’.

Clear Quartz crystals are the most powerful crystals in healing and meditation. With Clear Quartz it is possible to adjust  the body’s energies in a relatively short period of time and more quickly achieve a high state of mental and spiritual awareness.

Amethyst is known as the ‘spiritual stone’. It is a powerful and protective stone with strong healing and cleansing powers. It absorbs negative energies in the environment, transmuting the energy into love.
It enhances spiritual awareness and psychic abilities.

Citrine is the stone of ‘abundance’. It attracts wealth and prosperity, success and all good things. Citrine cleanses the chakras, especially the solar plexus and sacral chakra and activates the crown chakra; opening intuition. It raises self-esteem, confidence and improves motivation. Citrine enhances concentration and because it is linked to the mental body of the aura, it revitalizes the mind. As Citrine acts as a cleanser for the body, this crystal does not require cleansing.

Crystals usually get their colour from the presence of a minute amount of another substance, which distorts the lattice and deflects or alters the light rays as they pass through it. Thus Quartz, which is transparent, can appear violet coloured when iron atoms are present, and pink coloured with titanium or manganese. It becomes smokey brown when the lattice is subjected to natural radiation from radioactive elements such as uranium, or intense gamma rays from space and ultraviolet radiation from the sun.

Crystals have a subtle but measurable effect on our body. They have the power to balance, protect, enhance, energize, strengthen and uplift. They can greatly enhance our levels of confidence, concentration and self-esteem. When worn or
placed on the body, crystals can draw out energy toward itself, removing imbalances from the aura, gently dissolving and transmuting negativity. They can motivate us to bring about a sense of empowerment and achievement; helping us to stay focused in order to achieve our goals.

Crystals can relieve depression and uplift our spirits bringing an increased sense of optimism and happiness and help us heal our emotional wounds. They can move energy from one place to another, releasing blocks and tensions in the body, correct imbalances and where appropriate, help bones to realign themselves.

Crystals can be used for just about anything and their unique healing energies are as individual as we are. There is a crystal and mineral for every illness or disease known to mankind; we just need to heighten our awareness and frequency to that of the crystal so that we can tap into the energies, and the knowledge these wonderful beings have to offer!
